Photo of dam on Indus (Senge Tsangpo)

Friday, March 27, 2009

A friend just sent me a link which has a photo of "The Sengye Tsangpo Hydropower Station." Upon comparing the photo with the dam on Ngari I found on Google Earth last week, it's clear that these are the same dam. According to the text on the photo, the Sengye Tsangpo Hydropower Station has an installed capacity of 6,400 Kilowatts and is now operational.

Is there anyone that you know who is following this story downstream, either for ecological effects or for water access and flow regimes?

It is a dam on sengye tsangpo river, not the indus river. Both sengye tsangpo river and indus meet after it. Stop musguiding people and spreading hatred. Typical indian childsplay.
